Co-founder & Creative Director of Beads 4 Our Bodies

About Jillianne Samiano
I'm a Chicago native with a passion for blending creativity and business. As I complete my Business Management degree with an Economics minor at Agnes Scott College, I've come to see these disciplines not as separate paths, but as complementary tools for creating impact.
My academic journey took an exciting turn when I joined the Center for Digital and Visual Literacy as a tutor. Here, I help students use different technology tools while refining my own photography and digital illustration skills.
Beyond campus, I channel my creativity into Beads 4 Our Bodies, the feminist jewelry nonprofit I founded in 2021. What began as a small passion project has grown into a platform for meaningful advocacy. One of my favorite initiatives—the Vote Bracelets campaign—combined art with civic engagement, distributing hundreds of handmade bracelets with voter resources. We have donated our proceeds to organizations like SisterLove and Doctors Without Borders and have turned art into a vehicle for tangible social impact.
I've taken an unconventional path by exploring different industries through hands-on experience. My internships have given me a well-rounded perspective:
Banking: Analyzed financial systems at Wintrust in Chicago
Consulting: Developed business strategies at Marmaras & Co in Greece
Tech: Explored product development at CCC Intelligent Solutions in Chicago
Alongside these roles, I've kept my creative side active through freelance design work for small businesses like ShopEllesong and personal art commissions. This mix of experiences has taught me how to bridge the gap between analytical business thinking and creative problem-solving.
This May, I'll begin the next chapter as a Business Development Associate at Axiom, where I'm excited to apply both my analytical training and creative mindset to the legal tech space. But you'll still find me with a camera in hand on weekends or working on new creative projects.
